North Georgia Equestrian Tours at Cohutta Stables offers horseback riding adventures into the mountains of the
Cohutta Wildlife Management Area.
Our rides are designed for the more experienced rider who’s hungry for a true horseback adventure. We offer personalized, private trail rides that take you and your party along roughly 13 miles of stunning landscape within the 95,000+ acre WMA.
PRICING
HALF DAY | 3-4 hours of riding
Starting at $190 per rider
Due to the preparation required for our private adventures, we enforce a strict 24-hour cancellation policy. In the event of inclement weather, we will notify you via call and/or text and offer an opportunity to reschedule.

A one of a kind adventure...
From ridgeline to river, our outfitters will take you at a comfortable pace on smooth gaited horses, up the mountain and into the wild.
We rest mid-trip at Jacks River Fields primitive campground for a picnic lunch and a leg stretch, before picking up the trail and returning to our starting point.
Riders are expected to mount, dismount and control the horses under them INDEPENDENTLY.
Riders should expect to cross rivers, creeks, and navigate around natural obstacles.
We operate seven days a week, 365 days a year, weather contingent. So pick your season, book your ride, and let’s hit the trail!

North Georgia Equestrian Tours is nestled in the picturesque Southern Appalachian Mountains in the small town of Blue Ridge, Georgia.
We are family owned and operated with over 40+ years of experience in the equine industry, specializing in work with gaited horse breeds and equestrians of all skill levels.
Our services include outfitted trail riding in the Chattahoochee National Forest.
